Every great company deserves a great origin story. Ron Hutchison tells us Centris’ origin story.

It all started with two entrepreneurial brothers from Longview, Texas who had a vision of starting a business by taking advantage of the court order to break up AT&T. They convinced two of their uncles to invest in the company. They planned to start an operator service company that dealt with operator calls from pay telephones.

As with any good startup company, you have to come up with the right software. After exhausting all their company revenues, they drove to Chicago and took back equipment from a company they weren’t satisfied with. They sat down in one of the brother’s living rooms and thought about what their next move was going to be.

Through failure and persistence they turned the company around and have been expanding into new industries as the market changes. Now Centris is one of several companies charting a new course for the future. What started as a call center to help other internal clients has expanded to two successful call/contact centers that handle a variety of back-of-house tasks: From web design, live chat, and claim processing, we’re providing services that modern companies need.
